The use of wearable technology has rapidly increased within clinical trials.

Traditionally, patients have been required to submit results or partake in the trial activities on-site. However, as technology has become increasingly innovative and our global reliance manifested, we’re beginning to see the methods of clinical trial data collection swing to the use of wearable devices.

From the use of ingestibles to measure stomach acid levels through to apps directly transferring patient data back to the CRO. This move towards wearable technology raises serious questions surrounding the integrity and safeguarding of clinical data.
