Blog Tom Lynam

Arkivum is delighted to announce the launch of version 5.3 of our long-term data management and digital preservation solution.

The new version builds on much of the functionality introduced in the previous 5.2 release last year. This has focused on our micro services framework and building on our visualisation and usability modules. The 5.3 release is a result of direct feedback from our user base, and we are excited for our customers to experience the new features and benefits.

Metadata and Secure Sharing

The main features of the new release which was rolled out last week include;

  • Metadata Search Functionality has been expanded to allow multiple, flexible metadata configurations for all types of data being ingested. This also includes improved search capabilities such as global and restricted searches and visualisation of structural relationships between data.
  • Secure Sharing provides customers in regulated industries a mechanism to share research data in a secure way across organisations.
  • Multiple locations within deployments through tiered storage based on user access needs to keep cost of ownership for long term data management down.

These new features ensure that our customers have both improved security and accessibility of their long-term stored data.

The new improvements to the metadata search functionality, customers can find the right data quicker and easier than ever before. Secure sharing also enables those working within research or life science environments to securely share data to the appropriate external organisations.

This update reinforces Arkivum as a leading provider and trusted partner for those seeking long-term data management and digital preservation solutions. Our vision is to ensure the ongoing improvement and investment in our solutions to offer the best value to our users and customers.
