DCDC 2017

27th November 2017 - 29th November 2017

Arkivum is looking forward to participating in DCDC 2017, which is taking place from 27th to 29th November 2017 at The Lowry, Salford Quays.

DCDC is the only conference that brings together professionals from the archive, library, museum and academic sectors to discuss and surface the infinite potential of our extraordinary collections. Collaboration is at the heart of the DCDC Conference series, and they are proud to help facilitate and champion new opportunities for cross-sectoral collaboration, opening up opportunities for engaging collections with new audiences.

Sector Manager Paula Keogh will be presenting on:
Making the case for digital preservation; how to engage your internal stakeholders

This session will provide practical guidance on how to make the case to internal stakeholders for embarking upon a digital preservation programme. The typical barriers to progress, outline of the risks and costs of doing nothing, and useful case studies will be discussed. Delegates will leave this talk armed with a strategy for raising the importance of digital preservation in their own organization and a method for creating an internal business case.

To book a meeting with Paula during the event, please email her directly – paula.keogh@arkivum.com – to arrange it.
